Job summary

GTS in Canton, GA, with national operations, seeks a Fiber & Cable Installation Technician to perform commercial and residential installations of cable and internet, including disconnects, reconnects, and service upgrades/downgrades for single family homes and multi-dwelling units.

No prior industry experience is required; candidates must pass drug and background screening, own a vehicle and required equipment, and be able to work outdoors in varying weather while traveling locally to service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass drug and background screening.
• Must be insured and bonded with provided requirements.
• Must own vehicle and required equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or disconnect cable and fiber systems in homes (indoor/outdoor).
• Test connections and fix service issues when needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and respond to outages.
• Keep simple records of work completed and equipment used.
• Provide friendly, professional support during customer visits.
• Follow all safety guidelines while working on ladders, poles, and roofs.
• Travel locally each day to different service locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
