Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Odessa, TX is hiring a Warehouse Associate to handle parts and equipment delivery, pickups, and inventory control. You will count and verify items against bills, inspect incoming shipments for damage, place inventory in bins, process special orders and warranties, and help keep the warehouse clean.

Strong verbal communication and personal initiative are valued, as is the ability to operate hand/power tools safely and use a computer and 10-key calculator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math, reading and writing skills.
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written or oral diagrammatic form.
• Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations.
• Strong mental aptitude.

Essential Functions

• Deliver and/or pick-up parts and equipment for customers, satellite stores, and vendors
• Count, weigh, or measure items from incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage
• Place incoming inventory in the correct bins / keep the inventory organized
• Work special orders and warranties
• Assist with keeping the warehouse clean

Pre-Hire Requirements

• Valid TX DL and acceptable driving record, acceptable background review and negative drug screen

Education and Experience Required

• High school diploma or the equivalent

• Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, bending/stooping/squatting, grasping/gripping, writing/typing, driving/operating equipment and vision (beyond arms length), reach above shoulders, sitting, hearing, speaking, able to lift/carry 1-75lbs Occasionally climb stairs/ladders, lying down, push/pull, and lift/carry 75- 150+lbs

Working Conditions

• The employee will work indoors or outdoors in a professional shop environment.
• Will be frequently rotating equipment, vehicles, elevators, lifts, tow-lines, etc.
• Will be exposed to fumes, chemicals, solvents, caustics, etc.
• Will be exposed to extreme temperatures.
