Position Summary
Under Program Director supervision, the Licensed Clinician provides clinical oversight of individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse and/or behavioral conditions. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, medication monitoring, daily living skills support, developing treatment, relapse prevention and support plans, running therapy groups, individualized counseling, attending interdisciplinary meetings, and assessments.
Duties, Responsibilities, and Essential Functions
- Perform assessments to evaluate mental health, substance abuse, and behavioral conditions in children, adolescents, and adults.
- Develop individualized prescriptive treatment plans using diagnostic and placement criteria.
- Conduct individual, family, and group counseling employing evidence‑based practice.
- Utilize outcome tools to determine patient progress.
- Coordinate client care with primary care, specialty providers, schools, and families via written and verbal communication.
- Arrange appropriate care within the FREE umbrella or external providers according to policies.
- Protect clients’ rights and provide interventions tailored to ability, cultural concerns, and diagnostics.
- Participate in clinical conferences, integrated care committees, and risk meetings.
- Maintain contemporaneous progress notes and required documentation.
- Advocate for client needs in team discussions and external communications.
- Participate in referral and case reviews as needed.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed, processed in a timely manner, and meets quality & compliance thresholds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree in human services (required).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year working with individuals with behavioral health diagnoses.
- Licensure: LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC (required).
- Computer literacy (required).
- Team‑work, flexibility, organization, communication skills.
- Critical thinking and judgment.
- Valid driver’s license (required).
Work Environment
In‑person work; some travel required.
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable seated, walk, stand (at least 8 hours).
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Operate office equipment (computer, phone, copier).
- Reach with hands/arms.
- Move or lift light items.
Pay Range
$20–$70 hourly, based on experience, qualifications, services, location, and other factors allowed by law.
