Job summary

Dell Medical School seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive clinical assessment and management for pregnant women with fetal disorders. You will perform histories, exams, and orders, and participate in complex fetal care plans with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted NP license in the state of Texas.
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program.
Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC).
Current DEA license.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to use software for data entry, information retrieval and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
Provide quality care and conduct diagnostic testing according to evidence-based guidelines.
Participate in quality assurance audits and provide real-time feedback to improve patient care.
Perform admission histories and physicals.
Conduct daily rounds, document progress, write orders, and assist with therapeutic fetal surgery plans.
Order and interpret laboratory studies.
Discharge planning with documentation, prescriptions, and education.
Acquire ultrasound skills for fetal viability assessment and related procedures.
Chart review and data collection for neonatal follow-up.
