Job summary

Pine Lake Companies is seeking an experienced Fertilizer & Pest Control Division Manager to lead and grow our plant health care operations throughout the Greater Tampa Bay area.

This on-site, full-time role in Lutz, FL oversees day-to-day division operations, leads technicians, ensures service quality and regulatory compliance, and supports growth of the department.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Fertilizer & Pest Control Division operations.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and support technicians.

• Inspect properties and develop turf and landscape programs.
• Diagnose weeds, insects, diseases, irrigation, and nutrition issues.
• Ensure proper handling and application of chemicals per label and regulations.
• Monitor service quality, productivity, and client satisfaction.
• Maintain chemical logs, licenses, and compliance records.
• Manage inventory, equipment, and vehicle needs.
• Support budgeting, client retention, and division growth.
• Conduct safety meetings and promote safety culture.
• Recruit and develop division staff as growth occurs.

About the Role

Pine Lake Companies is seeking an experienced Fertilizer & Pest Control Division Manager to lead and grow our plant health care operations throughout the Greater Tampa Bay area.

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the division, leading technicians, maintaining service quality and regulatory compliance, and supporting the continued growth of the department.

Responsibilities

Lead the daily operations of the Fertilizer & Pest Control Division.

Supervise, train, schedule, and support technicians.

Plan and manage service routes to ensure treatments are completed correctly and on schedule.

Inspect properties and develop treatment programs for turf, shrubs, trees, and ornamental landscapes.

Diagnose issues involving weeds, insects, diseases, irrigation, and nutrient deficiencies.

Ensure fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides are mixed, handled, and applied according to label instructions and applicable regulations.

Monitor service quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and technician performance.

Maintain treatment records, chemical logs, licenses, and compliance documentation.

Manage chemical inventory, equipment, vehicles, purchasing, and storage.

Resolve service concerns and communicate recommendations to clients and internal teams.

Support estimating, budgeting, client retention, and division growth.

Conduct safety meetings and maintain a strong culture of safety and compliance.

Recruit, onboard, train, and develop technicians as the division grows.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of experience in landscape fertilization, pest control, turf care, or plant health care.

Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.

Advanced knowledge of Florida turfgrass, ornamental plants, fertilizers, weeds, insects, and diseases.

Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Florida Certified Pest Control Operator license, Limited Commercial Fertilizer Applicator license, or other applicable licensing strongly preferred.

Strong leadership, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Experience managing service routes, chemical inventory, equipment, and regulatory documentation.

Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
