Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU Recovery RN to join our team at RMA of New York in Eastside, New York and Brooklyn, New York.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday; Schedules vary depending on the day between the hours of 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM Eastern Time; 1 to 2 Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) a month and 2 to 3 holidays per year. Will work two to three days per week for 20 hours per week.
• Compensation:$55 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the OR/PACU Recovery RNwill:

• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received IV sedation. conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and/or ACLS certification
• Over 1 year nursing experience and PACU experience is strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
