Position Details

Secondary Teacher

Salary Range: $49,764-$89,318 annually with Employer-paid retirement, dependent upon previous experience

Terms of Employment: 9 Months or (185/189 Days)

FLSA Status: EXEMPT, salaried position on the Licensed Employee Salary Schedule

Position Summary

The teacher will implement appropriate educational curriculum based on Nevada Academic Content Standards and district-approved curriculum. The role involves creating a positive learning environment, adhering to professional standards, and reporting to the school administrator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver curriculum aligned with Nevada State Standards and Common Core
  • Foster a respectful, positive, and orderly classroom environment
  • Develop and execute lessons using district templates
  • Monitor and analyze student progress, providing individualized feedback
  • Ensure compliance with IEPs and other mandates
  • Maintain classroom discipline and safety
  • Contribute to the School Performance Plan
  • Follow assessment guidelines and regulations
  • Manage an effective advisory program
  • Handle stress professionally and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Integrate technology into instruction
  • Maintain accurate records in student management systems
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

Physical and Mental Requirements

Working Conditions
