Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, fluid inspections, filter replacements, battery testing and lubrication.
• Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and report findings to the Service Advisor.
• Inspect and maintain tire pressures, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and basic components.
• Replace windshield wipers and air/cabin filters as needed.
• Safely operate lifts, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services on repair orders.
• Ensure work meets manufacturer and dealership standards with safety policies.
• Keep work area clean and organized; assist service technicians as needed.
• Participate in training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards established by the dealership.

Position Summary

The Automotive Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance services and conducting basic vehicle inspections in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership standards. This entry-level position plays a critical role in maintaining vehicle performance, safety, and guest satisfaction by delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality maintenance services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid inspections, filter replacements, battery testing, and lubrication services.
• Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and report findings to the Service Advisor.
• Inspect and maintain tire pressures, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other basic vehicle components.
• Replace windshield wipers, air filters, cabin filters, and other maintenance-related components.
• Safely operate lifts, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services performed on repair orders.
• Ensure all work is completed according to manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Keep work area, tools, and shop equipment clean, organized, and in proper working condition.
• Follow all OSHA, environmental, and dealership safety policies and procedures.
• Assist Service Technicians with basic shop tasks as needed.
• Participate in training programs to develop technical and diagnostic skills.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards established by the dealership.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and work on vehicles for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required.

Work Environment
