Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Federal Way, WA seeks a Fellowship Trained Breast Surgeon to join our growing Comprehensive Breast Program. You will provide expert surgical care, collaborate with oncology, imaging, pathology, genetics, and radiation teams, and contribute to tumor board discussions in a teaching facility.

The role requires fellowship training in Breast Surgery, board certification/eligibility, WA license, and a commitment to clinical excellence and research.

Qualifications

• Must be board certified or board eligible in Breast Surgery/Surgical Oncology.
• Fellowship training with focus on Breast Surgery.
• Unrestricted Washington State Medical License.
• DEA with full prescriptive authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical evaluation and management of benign and malignant breast disease.
• Perform full spectrum of breast surgery including conservation, oncoplastic, mastectomy, sentinel node biopsy and axillary dissection.
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast clinic and tumor board conferences.
• Collaborate with the breast team to coordinate individualized treatment plans.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care pathways.
• Maintain timely medical documentation within the EMR.
• Participate in community outreach, education, and breast cancer awareness.
• Engage in clinical research, teaching, and mentorship where available.
• Foster compassionate patient-centered environment with shared decision-making.
