Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Program Director to oversee accreditation and governance of a Hematology/Oncology fellowship program. The Director will supervise fellows, ensure ethical and professional development, and liaise with the Chair of GME and the Department of Internal Medicine to maintain high standards of patient care under ACGME requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising Hem Onc fellows, residents and medical students.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as Hem Onc faculty.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain fellowship curriculum.
  • Supervise fellows and ensure safe patient care.
  • Review rotations and mentoring of fellows.
  • Recruit fellows and participate in evaluation of trainees and faculty.

Summary

The Program Director is responsible for maintaining the accreditation of and performing all relevant oversight and regulatory functions of a fellowship program that meets specified criteria approved by CAO, DPIC, and PIC. The Program Director facilitates the fellows’ ethical, professional and personal development through education and evaluation and provides supervision of the fellows that supports safe and appropriate patient care in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Institutional requirements. The Program Director is responsible to the Chair of Graduate Medical Education at Moffitt Cancer Center and to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida for the overall conduct of the fellowship program.

Experience Requirement: At least 3 years experience as a Hem Onc faculty member, responsible for supervision of Hem Onc fellows, residents and medical students.

Preferred Experience: At least 3 years experience as an associate program director in a Hem Onc fellowship program.

Salary Range $208,000.00 - $782,080.00 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
