Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Fellow – Postsecondary Education Coordinator to advance prison education initiatives within Kentucky. This position focuses on coordinating with colleges and universities to support Prison Education Programs (PEPs) and producing related events and policy analysis.

The Fellow will research and present on higher education policy, practice, workforce, and prison education trends, collaborating across units and with national stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s with relevant experience in postsecondary education or policy-related fields.
• Experience with policy development and understanding of higher education systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between Kentucky colleges and the Kentucky Department of Corrections.
• Develop and maintain workforce and postsecondary data related to prison education.
• Prepare reports and policy recommendations to guide prison education programs.
