Job summary

Just Cats Clinic in Reston, VA is seeking an Associate Veterinarian for urgent care, soft-tissue surgery and hospitalized case management focused on cats only. This feline-only hospital offers a capped caseload, no scheduled overnights, a supportive team, AAHA accreditation, and a competitive compensation package with benefits.

Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts on a 32-hour work week for full-time, with occasional shorter hours and no ICU overnights; weekends and holidays rotate.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Veterinary License or ability to obtain.
• DVM degree from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Manage urgent care cases (vomiting, obstruction rule-outs, UO, etc.).
• Oversee stable hospitalized patients (max 6 cases).
• Perform soft tissue surgery.
• Manage cases from admission through discharge.
• Provide overnight on-call support (primarily phone-based; occasional in-hospital visit if needed).
