Job summary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a dependable Yard Maintenance Technician for a progressive cattle feeding operation in the Central Plains. This outdoor, hands-on role involves operating heavy equipment, welding, and performing general repairs to keep a large farm running efficiently.

Responsibilities include maintaining feed bunks, watering systems, fences, water lines, and yard facilities. You will work with a team and, when needed, independently to handle maintenance tasks and safety

Qualifications

  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, graders, skid steers, or similar machinery.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred.
  • General knowledge of plumbing, fencing, carpentry, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and with a team.
  • English communication skills are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment in the feedyard.
  • Repair feed bunks and livestock watering systems.
  • Install, repair, and relocate fencing as needed.
  • Dig trenches and install or repair water lines.
  • Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and general maintenance projects.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and other repair work.
  • Assist with sprinkler, drainage, and dewatering systems.
  • Maintain yard roads, pens, and grounds using loaders, graders, and other equipment.
  • Perform routine housekeeping around buildings, shops, and yard facilities.
  • Assist the maintenance shop and equipment technicians when needed.
  • Safely remove deceased livestock according to company procedures.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Complete other duties assigned by management.

**Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT** is searching for a dependable, mechanically inclined **Yard Maintenance Technician** for a progressive cattle feeding operation located in the Central Plains. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, performing general maintenance, and taking pride in keeping a large agricultural operation running efficiently.This is a hands-on role offering a variety of responsibilities including equipment operation, welding, repairs, fencing, plumbing, and general yard upkeep.
