Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is looking for a Feeder/Folder to handle and inspect clean textiles, fold by hand or feed into machines for final processing and packing. You will report to the Production Manager and help ensure products meet quality standards.

You will sort, fold, and package textiles, process items by type, and log production activity. This role requires physical tasks, including standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in an industrial laundry environment.

Qualifications

• Must recognize colors, sizes, and product types.
• Counting and sorting accuracy.
• Ability to inspect and grade product quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal packing instructions.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The Feeder/Folder handles, sorts, and inspects clean textiles before folding them by hand or feeding them into ironing or folding machines for final processing and packaging. You will help ensure products meet company quality and production standards. You will report to the Production Manager.

You Will

• Sort, inspect, and grade clean textiles removed from carts or bins to ensure they meet company quality standards.
• Fold, assemble, and package textiles by hand or feed items into ironing or folding machines according to production requirements.
• Process textiles by product type and follow written packing instructions to prepare items for final distribution.
• Place finished products onto conveyors or into carts and move materials within the production area.
• Record production activity by logging in and out of the Spindle productivity tracking system.

What You Bring

• Recognize colors, sizes, and product types.
• Counting and sorting accuracy.
• Skill in inspecting and grading product quality.
• Understanding of written packing instructions and capability to follow verbal and written directions.

Work Environment and Requirements

• You will perform physical tasks throughout the work shift. These tasks include standing and walking for extended periods; reach overhead; push and pull carts or bins; grasp and handle textiles; lift up to 25 pounds; and stoop or bend.
• Work in production areas of an industrial laundry facility may include exposure to temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust.
