Job summary

Heartland Co-op in Reinbeck, IA seeks a part-time CDL driver to transport materials to and from specified destinations. You will drive, log hours, communicate with supervisors, and help with loading/unloading while maintaining vehicle and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a Class A CDL with endorsements, a current DOT physical, and be able to lift up to 100 pounds as needed to support operations and maintain a positive image for Heartland Co-op.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks to destinations and support delivery operations.
• Maintain truck logs according to regulations.
• Keep supervisor informed via telephone or radio for delivery instructions.
• Load and unload cargo; clean the truck cabin after unloading.
• Inspect truck equipment (tires, lights, brakes, etc.) and perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Assist with operational duties to support efficient production schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drives truck to destination.
• Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Loads and unloads truck. Cleans compartment after unloading as necessary to avoid contamination.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Performs routine maintenance on vehicle, including but not limited to, daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Assist location and Feed Mill Operator with operational duties, as time allows, ensuring an efficient production schedule.
• Ensure trucks promote a positive image of Heartland Co-op by keeping the interiors and exteriors clean as conditions allow.
• Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License with proper endorsements and commercial insurability at all times. Maintain current DOT physical.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience:
