Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a Feed Mill Utility Laborer to support receiving, warehouse operations and QA for bulk, bagged and liquid feeds. You will operate automated systems, assist with pelleting, grinding, and batching, and help keep the feed mill warehouse organized and safe.

Role requires reading, basic math, and ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Some computer skills are needed; prior experience is not required. Training toward forklift and related licenses is available during employment.

• Class B license a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily housekeeping tasks and ensure cleanliness of all areas of feed mill.
• Ensure proper product are stored in designated places.
• Rotate stock in compliance with the warehouse rotation policy.
• Unload bulk, liquid and warehouse trucks, and rail cars and unit trains as needed.
• Operate pelleting, grinding, and batching equipment as needed.
• Obtain forklift license, weighman’s license, and Trac Mobile certification.

Feed Mill Utility Laborer

Position Summary:In two - four sentences, what are the end results or purpose of this job?

This partner acts as a back-up for the receiving/warehouse operator and control operator.Must be able to operate the automated receiving, batching and pelleting systems, organize the feed mill warehouse, and safely operate the locomotive used to move railcars. Responsible for QA assurance of all bulk, bagged and liquid products received, and finished feeds produced. Also responsible for daily housekeeping duties.

• Complete daily housekeeping tasks and ensure cleanliness of all areas of feed mill.
• Ensure proper product are stored in designated places.
• Rotate stock in compliance with the warehouse rotation policy.
• Unload bulk, liquid and warehouse trucks, and rail cars and unit trains as needed.
• Operate pelleting, grinding, and batching equipment as needed.
• Obtain forklift license, weighman’s license, and Trac Mobile certification.
• Be able to lift up to 60 lbs., climb ladders, work at heights up to 200 ft., and operate pallet jack.
• Class B license a plus but not required.
