Job summary

Perdue Foods in Hurlock, MD is seeking a Feed Mill Maintenance Planner to lead planning, scheduling, and coordination of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime and safe production. You will work with Maintenance, Operations, Procurement, and Safety teams using Maximo CMMS to optimize maintenance strategies and asset reliability.

The role requires 5 years of experience, a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), and strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of maintenance planning/leadership experience.
• Technical competency equivalent to Perdue Maintenance A Mechanic.
• Proven leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance work orders to optimize labor and equipment use.
• Align maintenance plans with production schedules and leadership priorities.
• Ensure optimal equipment functionality while controlling costs.
• Estimate labor hours and resource requirements for maintenance.
• Communicate job scope clearly to maintenance teams.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Monitor OEE, throughput, downtime, and efficiency metrics.
• Use Maximo CMMS to create, prioritize, and manage work orders.
• Maintain asset histories and maintenance records in Maximo.
• Coordinate with Procurement for timely parts and services.
• Support OSHA and internal EHS standards compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and uptime.
