Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience.
• Language Ability: Read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Math Ability: Compute rate, ratio and percent; work with whole numbers and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability: Follow detailed instructions and solve basic problems.
• Computer Skills: Operate mill equipment and manage inventory records.
• Certificates/Licenses: May require weighing license or grain grading certificate; CDL where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Adds prescribed amount of corn, soybean meal, drugs and feed ingredients for making desired feed.
• Monitors inventories to ensure proper ingredients are on hand for mixing.
• Monitors feed grinding to ensure quality of final product is consistent and of high quality.
• Maintains and repairs feed equipment. Keeps production area clean, safe, and up to code.
• Coordinates loads to maximize efficiency and maintain customer service.
• Maintains inventory of products including loading/unloading trucks and organizing warehouse.
• Operates mill in a safe and responsible manner.
• Keeps production records including products ordered, inventory records, production records and billing.
• Maintain and record maintenance and housekeeping records in the appropriate logbooks.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Some branches may require a valid driver’s license and CDL.
