NEW Cooperative seeks an experienced supervisor for a computerized feed manufacturing facility. You will manage production, safety, maintenance, and documentation to meet formulations and quality guidelines while maximizing efficiency.

The role requires leadership in budgeting, staff training, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with FSMA and good manufacturing practices. Strong communication with fleet and operations teams is essential.

Responsabilités

• Supervises and manages a computerized feed manufacturing facility to meet formulations and quality guidelines.
• Manages costs within budget and coordinates hiring, training (Dekra), and scheduling facility staff.
• Oversees operation of batch mixing, receiving and load-out equipment, micro-ingredient addition, and grinding equipment.
• Maintains inventory levels of bag and bulk products and controls shrink per Coop guidelines.
• Ensures safety by following policy, reporting hazards, and using PPE properly.
• Maintains FSMA and current good manufacturing practices compliance and handles documentation.
• Communicates daily needs to fleet supervisor and coordinates grain quality and inventory.
• Maintains equipment maintenance programs and keeps work areas clean and organized.
• Assists in all areas of the location as needed.

Position Summary/Objective: To efficiently supervise and manage a computerized feed manufacturing facility that mixes and processes ingredients to customer specified formulations and quality guidelines in a manner that maximizes departmental effectiveness and achieves the cooperative’s goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Include but are not limited to the following:

Management

• Manages costs within budget.
• Responsible for hiring, training (Dekra), and scheduling facility employees.
• Supervises the operation of computerized batch mixing equipment, receiving and load-out equipment, micro-ingredient addition, and grinding equipment.
• Maintains inventory of bag and bulk products at desired levels.
• Accountable for maintaining shrink within Coop guidelines.

Safety

• Maintains a safe work environment as outlined by NEW Cooperative’s policies and procedures.
• Manages the work area, checks for hazards and corrects/reports unsafe conditions.
• Uses all tools, equipment, and vehicles carefully and for their intended use.
• Complies with all required manufacturing and regulatory controls.

Communication

• Communicates with fleet supervisor on daily needs and days off requests for driver/operator.
• Maintain communication concerning grain quality and available inventory.

Documentation

• Fulfills all reporting and record-keeping requirements.
• Familiar with FSMA and the current good manufacturing practices.
• Responsible for drug and inventory reconciliation and ensures that necessary paperwork is completed correctly.

Maintenance

• Administers effective maintenance program of equipment.
• Ensures that the work area, equipment, and vehicles are all neat, clean, and well maintained.
• Directs housekeeping duties to maintain a clean working environment.

Other

• Assist in all areas of the location as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be licensed and insurable to drive.
• High school diploma/GED or 1-3 years of related experience.
• Must have good computer skills and good basic accounting skills.
• Must be able to operate a forklift safely and effectively.
• Understand the importance of providing remarkably high levels of customer service.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Possesses problem solving capability and understands the operational processes.
