Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a night-shift Loader to manage feed truck loading and sampling in Palestine, TX. You will operate bulk load-out systems, weigh feed types, and ensure accurate inventory and invoicing data.

Responsibilities include coordinating with teams to maximize efficiency, reporting issues, and adhering to GMP/FSMA safety standards while working unsupervised when needed.

Qualifications

• Basic arithmetic for proportions, percentages, volume, etc.
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry.
• Experience with agricultural/farm equipment preferred.
• Ability to work unsupervised and stay motivated.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate feed bulk load-out system and weigh/feed trucks as required.
• Coordinate schedule and production with personnel to maximize efficiency.
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
• Take and record daily inventories.
• Provide documentation on feed invoices and ingredient weights as requested.
• Follow safety and quality procedures and company policies.

SHIFT DETAILS:

Monday-Friday 9:00pm-5:30am Pay Rate-$19.55 Benefits available Day One On the job training

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Primarily responsible for loading feed trucks with appropriate feed type and quantity. Obtain daily samples of all feed types per company sampling requirements and policies. Performs work in compliance with all company policies, GMP’s, FSMA regulations, local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under minimal supervision, operate feed bulk load-out system, load and weigh feed trucks with required feed type and quantity


• Communicate and coordinate schedule and production with personnel to maximize efficiency


• Report equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel in a timely manner to reduce down time


• Take and record daily inventories


• Provide documentation on feed invoices and ingredient weight tickets as requested


• Follow all safety and quality procedures


• Work in compliance with all company policies, GMP’s, FSMA regulations and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations


• All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Intermediate math (add, subtract, multiply and/or divide proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.)


• Basic computer knowledge and usage skills


• Experience in working with agricultural and/or farm equipment preferred


• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate


• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours


• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours


• Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend


• Frequently climb stairs and 50+ foot ladders


• Ability to lift and carry 50 - 100 lbs


• Ability to work in confined spaces


• Constantly subject to dusty, hot environments


• Frequently work in loud environment requiring ear protection


• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts


• Ability to work at heights of 200+ ft


• Ability to operate a pallet jack with 2,000+ lbs. of material
