Job summary

Accelcia Business Services in Wisconsin is seeking a lab technician to prepare feed/forage samples for testing, log samples, dry and grind feed samples, and prepare them for Near Infrared Reflectance (NIR) scanning. You will also assist in other areas of sample preparation as needed.

Responsibilities include identifying samples, subsampling, entering data, and maintaining the lab's physical properties. Adherence to safety procedures and effective communication with management are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare feed samples
• Operate feed grinders and electronic balance machines
• Identify samples
• Subsample samples
• Enter required feed data in system
• Analysis of samples by Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIR)
• Analysis of Particle Size, Fermentrics, Calibrate, and Corn Silage Processing Score by NIR
• Assist with special projects and preparation
• Identify analysis offered by Dairyland Laboratories
• Assist with the maintenance of physical properties of the lab
• Communicate effectively with management and staff
• Follow lab safety practices as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures
• General cleaning of work area
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
