HDR is seeking an experienced Federal Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex water infrastructure projects for federal agencies across the United States. You will manage a wide range of projects, including water resources infrastructure, water and wastewater facilities, and water distribution systems, overseeing multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 10 years related experience.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience.
• Professional Engineer license recognized by the licensing board for the position location (PE).
• MS Office and MS Project experience; Access experience a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
• Commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and oversee all phases of complex, multidisciplinary projects from planning and design through construction support and closeout.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects while aligning with client objectives, budgets, and schedules.
• Build and maintain relationships with federal and military clients as a trusted advisor.
• Support business development activities including marketing, proposals, negotiations, and pursuits.
• Facilitate planning, design development, and contract document reviews with clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate resources and staffing across disciplines to ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborate with HDR leadership to monitor performance and drive outcomes.
• Implement QA/QC procedures to ensure technical excellence and compliance.
• Support staff development and training aligned with HDR objectives.
• Lead and mentor project teams including junior PMs and professionals.
• Monitor financial performance and accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
• Maintain professional engineering licensure and stay updated on industry trends.
• Perform other duties as required.
