Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a strategic Public Affairs advisor to counsel high‑level government leaders and shape messaging across defense, safety, and civilian missions.

You will develop briefs, speeches, and talking points; educate leaders on Public Affairs value; and coordinate communication strategies with global partners. Expect travel to support missions and engage with diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience providing Public Affairs strategic messaging counsel, planning and execution to high-level government or executive leaders.
• Knowledge of Public Affairs doctrine and policy, or military experience in a related role.
• Understanding of DoD, State, intelligence and law enforcement orgs and interagency collaboration.
• Knowledge of approval processes for sensitive activities to plan and publish Public Affairs Guidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary writer and editor of briefs, speeches, narratives, messaging, and talking points for the command.
• Educate the command on Public Affairs and strategic communication to drive change and priorities.
• Provide timely analysis of the information environment to the command group and organization.
• Deliver understanding of traditional and emerging media platforms and their reach.
• Plan and synchronize Public Affairs guidance and campaigns for external and internal messaging priorities.
• Track and share key themes and talking points from leaders and influencers.
• Provide public speaking and media training to leaders across the organization.
• Offer communication and relationship management counsel to leadership across the formation.
• Integrate with command leaders to identify communication risks and opportunities.
• Create and distribute multimedia messaging across operations, training, recruiting, and resources.
• Conduct and oversee relevant research.
• Thrive in an agile team and travel to austere environments as needed.
• Monitor and disseminate best practices from industry and academia.
