Job summary

Verkada is seeking a Federal Solution Engineer (remote) to lead technical engagements with customers through the full sales cycle. You will articulate value, assist in deployment design, and provide technical support to territory account representatives.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years as a Sales Engineer, strong English communication, and a relevant technical degree with solid networking fundamentals. Travel exceeds 50% of the time, and U.S. work authorization is required.

• 3+ years as a Sales Engineer with Fortune 500 experience.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or security field.
• Strong networking background: HTTPS, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, and firewall fundamentals.
• Industry certifications (AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Microsoft Azure, CISSP, CSP) are a plus.
• Experience with Active Directory, SAML/SCIM, APIs, Python, and other coding languages is a plus.
• Startup experience.

Verkada is seeking a proven Federal Solution Engineer (remote) with expertise in Cloud, Security, IoT, Networking, Hardware, and Software. The role involves directly interfacing with customers throughout the sales process, overcoming technical objections, assisting in deployment design, and providing technical support to territory account representatives. Clearance is not required.

• Objection Handler: Address and mitigate objections to secure technical wins for Verkada.
• Evangelist: Present Verkada’s solutions to executives, loss‑prevention managers, and IT directors; educate customers and partners on new product offerings.
• Travel >50% of the time, including domestic and international engagements, to support business operations and team collaboration.

Additional Information

Annual Pay Range

$155,000 – $210,000 USD (base plus commissions and incentives where applicable).
