Job summary

Versa Networks is seeking a Solution Federal Security Solution Architect to help our customers and partners evaluate, adopt and expand the use of our technology. As a security-focused architect for federal solutions, you will evangelize technical leadership, deliver architectural designs for SD-WAN deployments, and perform PoC validations.

You will also provide Professional Services to strategic customers and author technical content for our knowledge base, while traveling to support on-site

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Experience in planning and designing or operating service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks.
• In depth understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack and operation.
• Knowledge on WAN technologies and protocols like MPLS, MPLS based VPNs, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT, Multicast.
• Knowledge in architecting and/or managing large-scale, high performing and resilient Enterprise networking solutions.
• Knowledge on Linux administration.
• Shell scripting, python scripting knowledge.
• Travel may be required to support customers on site

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural design services of state-of-art SD-WAN deployments, including HLD/LLD documentation.
• Perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and network deployments using new products and feature.
• Provide Professional Services on assignment bases to strategic customers.

• Hands-on experience in public and private cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Openstack, VMware.

Location

Maryland, US*Applicants must be authorized to work in the USThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range of $200,000 to $280,000. A candidate’s specific pay within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, training, location, experience, relevant education, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
