Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in Charlotte, NC, is hiring a Law Enforcement Officer to provide 24/7 security coverage across day, evening, and overnight shifts. The role includes safeguarding Bank operations, responding to emergencies, and enforcing access controls.

You’ll operate screening equipment, perform patrols, and maintain firearm, CPR, and First Aid training. A high school diploma is required, with college coursework or degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Some college coursework or a degree is preferred.
• Prior law enforcement experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift as needed.
• Knowledge of automated security controls is preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are preferred.
• Attend and complete basic law enforcement training and maintain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Protect Bank operations, property, and employees.
• Escalate issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform post duties; walk, screen, stand, and sit as required.
• Respond to emergencies, drills, alarms, and dangerous situations.
• Maintain records for crimes, complaints, accidents, investigations, and follow-ups.
• Control access for vehicles and pedestrians and direct individuals to destinations.
• Escort individuals and inspect packages; ensure proper access badges.
• Conduct vehicle and walking patrols to deter crime and enforce rules.
• Operate security technology including x-ray and magnetometer equipment.
• Maintain training and certifications, including firearms, CPR, and First Aid.
