Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking a sworn Police Officer to protect the bank, its people, facilities, and assets in the Phoenix area. This role combines frontline law enforcement with community ambassadorship.

You will monitor security systems, control access to restricted areas, respond to emergencies, and participate in the selection process, training, and professional development within the Twelfth District.

Qualifications

• Age 21 or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with PCs, email, MS Office, and law enforcement tech systems.
• Excellent judgment in stressful situations.
• Strong conflict resolution and communication abilities.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean criminal history with no felonies in 10 years.
• No domestic violence convictions prohibiting firearm possession.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate bank security and life safety systems (access control, alarms, video).
• Control and monitor entry to restricted areas.
• Operate law enforcement equipment and firearms as needed.
• Conduct security patrols and surveillance.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate law enforcement response.
• Document incidents and prepare clear reports.
• Perform federal law enforcement duties as directed under 11(q) of the Federal Reserve Act.
