The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of North Carolina is seeking Assistant United States Attorneys to prosecute a wide range of federal crimes, including violent crime, drug trafficking, public corruption, and white-collar offenses. This permanent role may involve appellate work and complex assignments as you gain experience. Ideal candidates hold a J.D.

degree, are active members of the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction, and have at least three years of post-J.D.

Qualificações

• Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree and be an active member of the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 3 years post-J.D. legal or relevant experience required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsabilidades

• Prosecute a wide variety of federal crimes including violent crime, drug trafficking, public corruption, and white-collar offenses.
• Represent the United States in investigations and prosecutions; may handle appellate matters.
• Research, write appellate briefs and post-conviction responses; present oral arguments.
• Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as training progresses.
