Job summary

Parallax Advanced Research is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to craft government proposals, white papers, and marketing materials. Reporting to the Senior VP of Business Development, you will translate complex technical information into clear, persuasive content for federal audiences, with a focus on DoD-related proposals.

The role involves collaborating with capture teams and experts to develop outlines, win themes, and compliant submissions while ensuring consistency with Parallax

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, technical writing, business, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated experience writing and editing technical, business, or professional content.
• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, research, and interviewing skills.
• Ability to organize complex information and communicate clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Collaborate effectively with executives, technical experts, program personnel, and business development teams.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and coordinate technical and management content for government proposals, RFI responses, white papers, and other submissions.
• Review solicitations to understand requirements, evaluation criteria, instructions, and compliance obligations.
• Work with capture managers, proposal managers, technical experts, and partners to gather and develop content.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive language for intended audiences.
• Develop proposal outlines, annotated outlines, storyboards, executive summaries, win themes, discriminators, and supporting narratives.
• Ensure proposal content addresses customer needs, benefits, outcomes, and evaluation criteria.
• Edit submissions for clarity, grammar, readability, tone, and alignment with messaging.
• Support proposal reviews (Pink/Red/Gold team) and final production activities.
• Develop articles, thought leadership pieces, and marketing materials; maintain reusable content like past performances and templates.
• Coordinate with graphic designers to integrate visuals.
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Protect sensitive, proprietary, and government-controlled information.
