Job summary

Olsson, a people-centric engineering and design firm, seeks a Project Manager I for Federal Engineering & Design. You will manage defined-scope federal projects and support multidisciplinary teams across planning, design, and construction for military installations, VA campuses, and other agencies.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and adherence to UFC/DoD/VA standards. As part of Olsson's team, you will help establish scope, schedules, budgets, and documentation, while

Qualifications

• A minimum of four years of project experience in the AEC industry.
• Active PE license or ability to obtain a PE license preferred.
• Experience delivering engineering or design projects from planning through delivery.
• Federal project exposure is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving and client service skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and escalate risks per PM practices.
• Ability to collaborate with technical professionals and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage defined-scope federal projects and support larger teams.
• Define and communicate scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules and budgets with teams and clients.
• Track progress, costs and financial performance; report variances to leadership.
• Organize project teams by aligning expertise, assignments and schedules to goals.
• Serve as day-to-day contact for project matters with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
• Support compliance with UFC, DoD, VA and other standards and contract requirements.
• Identify risks, scope changes, schedule concerns, and costs; help mitigate.
• Assist with contracts, change documents, and billing coordination.
• Plan and facilitate routine project meetings; document decisions and follow-ups.
• Maintain project records and prepare design plans, specs, and performance records.
