Job summary

BRPH is seeking a Federal Project Executive to lead multiple architectural and engineering programs for Army, Navy and Air Force clients. You will oversee scope, schedule, budgets, risk and quality while serving as the client-facing executive across BRPH's Federal Business Unit.

The role requires a ten-year PM track record delivering federal projects, strong Deltek Vantagepoint experience, and an ability to align design decisions with client goals and financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering with federal project delivery experience.

The Federal Project Executive performs Management of multiple BRPH projects and defined customer programs with the Departments of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as other select federal organizations. Leads strategic architectural/engineering design projects from concept through construction documentation, while ensuring compliance with client requirements. Oversees project managers delivering architectural/engineering design projects while serving as the client-facing executive, ensuring design integrity, technical excellence, financial success, and prudent risk management, while adhering to BRPH's Mission and Vision.

As part of the federal business unit, supports the development of new business and generates sales in keeping with annual company and individual goals for BRPH Architects and Engineers. Proactively initiates and maintains client contact, cultivates potential client and local strategic partnerships and relationships with key decision-makers and implements public relations and business development activities that are continually effective and competitive. Interfaces with clients and project teams to ensure successful outcomes and repeat business. Leverages client trust to drive repeat business and expanded project roles for BRPH.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as the primary client interface during design phases: understands client goals, manages expectations, presents at steering committees, and guides stakeholder alignment
• Shapes and defends design vision: leads technical reviews, resolves interdisciplinary coordination issues, enforces design intent consistency across disciplines and phases.
• Oversees project scope, schedule, budgets, financial health, and change control. Anticipates and mitigates scope creep; develops, maintains, and monitors detailed project schedules; tracks critical path tasks, intervenes on slippages, and manages recovery strategies.
• Ensures that each discipline meets deliverable timelines and maintain cross-discipline coordination to avoid rework.
• Identifies project risks and issues proactively; maintains a risk register; leads risk mitigation planning.
• Leads all project coordination meetings, maintains decision and issues logs, produces regular status updates (schedule, cost, risk, design progress).
• Conducts QA/QC reviews, enforces compliance with codes, standards, firm processes, and reduces rework.
• Drives project close-out: ensures final deliverables, meets quality and completeness, facilitates lessons-learned sessions, documents best practices for continuous improvement.
• Provides vision, direction, and alignment to design leads and discipline teams, clearly linking project goals to design execution.
• Mentors and coaches design staff and early career project managers, helping their professional growth, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and technical development.
• Supports Federal Business Unit Leader with the development and execution of sales and marketing activities necessary to penetrate targeted business segments and maintain a robust sales funnel of potential opportunities with short-and long-range goals. Contributes to development of annual business plans and growth targets.
• Cultivates relationships with local contracting partners, sub-consultants and economic development organizations
• Functions as communications link between the client and internal BRPH team for all new business activity.
• Supports activities with the pursuit team for developing proposals upon identification of specific opportunities that pass the Go/No-Go process.
• Maintains all marketing information requirements, including a sales funnel of leads and prospects in Deltek Vantagepoint, call reports, capture plans and related correspondence.
• Engages in occasional travel for client site meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder engagements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering, from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Ten years of experience as project manager, with preferred experience in delivering projects to federal clients, primarily to Department of War (DoW), including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM), Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), and/or (DoW) installations.
• Proficient with operating a personal computer and use of Deltek Vantagepoint or similar project management software, MS Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams/Power Point, Bluebeam, and other required programs.

CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Registered/licensed architect or engineer is highly preferred;
• Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering.
• Ten years of experience as project manager, seller-doer type role.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a strong differentiator, but not mandatory
• Proficient with operating a personal computer and use of Deltek Vantagepoint, MS Excel/Word/Outlook/Bluebeam, and other required programs.
