Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
• Must be a graduate of an ACPE-accredited school or university.
• Must be licensed for controlled substances, with qualifications to practice in any states.
• Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Pharmacist verification of prescription orders (legend, OTC, Med/Surg, controlled substances).
• Assess drug orders and cross matches with medications at checking stations.
• Pre-verify medications loaded into dispensing apparatus.
• Complete verification and fill of controlled substance orders (Schedules III–V).
• Perform QA functions and supervise Pharmacy Technicians.
• Follow CMOP policies for documentation and reports to meet VA/TJC policy.
