Qualifications

• Financial Management Certification: Level 1 within 2 years of appointment.
• Seasonal influenza vaccination is mandatory unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
• Hepatitis B immunization is required for positions with direct patient contact.
• Tuberculosis testing is required.
• This is designated Mission Essential and may require reporting during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy, consistency and completeness of all demographic data entered.
• Maintain records and prepare financial reports.
• Ensure the patient’s medical information is accurate and up to date.
• Examine patient bills for accuracy and request any missing information.
• Follow up on delinquent payments and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Review all Third-Party Collection Explanation of Benefits (EOB) balances.
• Utilize billing systems to create and process claims.
• Review files of patients with Third Party insurance from outpatient clinics.
