Job summary

The United States Attorney's Office for the District of New Mexico is seeking student interns for the Spring 2027 term in the Albuquerque and Las Cruces offices. Interns will gain exposure to federal casework and administrative support within a well-respected team.

Typical duties include clerical tasks, handling files, copying, closing case files, and supporting staff with document management and discovery processes.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited school or program and taking at least a half-time course load.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• U.S. citizenship or national status.
• Successful completion of background investigation and pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Operates copying machine and handles document copying, collating and stapling as needed.
• Close case files and support electronic discovery workflows.
• Make regular and special messenger trips as required.
• Sort and file materials alphabetically, numerically, or chronologically.
