Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced IS Governance Risk & Compliance Lead to oversee federal compliance, audits, and technology risk for critical federal programs.

You will partner with Security, Technology, Risk, and Architecture teams to ensure regulation adherence while maintaining an audit-ready environment. The role requires strong federal compliance background, leadership through influence, and proven ability to drive remediation across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to meet federal access, background screening, and clearance requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 10+ years in regulatory compliance, audit, or risk management with at least 5 years federal audit experience.
• Experience managing vendor audits in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead federal audit activities with federal oversight agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as primary contact for audit requests, compliance reviews, and regulatory examinations.
• Direct audit readiness efforts, including evidence collection, documentation review, and remediation.
• Support Authorization to Operate (ATO) activities and ongoing federal compliance.
• Collaborate with Information Security, Technology, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to maintain controls.
• Oversee vendor compliance reviews and audits to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Identify gaps and drive remediation across programs.
• Present audit findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide leadership and guidance across compliance initiatives.
