Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced IS Governance Risk & Compliance Lead to oversee federal compliance, audit readiness, and technology risk for critical federal programs.

You will partner with Information Security, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Architecture teams to ensure adherence to federal requirements while maintaining an audit-ready posture. Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• 10+ years in regulatory compliance, audit or risk management with ≥5 years in federal audits (GAO or similar).
• Experience managing or conducting vendor audits in a highly regulated industry.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead federal audit activities with federal oversight agencies and stakeholders.
• Primary point of contact for audit requests, compliance reviews, and regulatory examinations.
• Lead audit readiness efforts: evidence collection, documentation review, issue remediation, control validation.
• Support Authorization to Operate (ATO) activities and ongoing federal compliance.
• Partner with Information Security, Technology, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to maintain security and compliance controls.
• Oversee vendor compliance reviews and audits to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Identify gaps and drive remediation across cross-functional teams.
• Present audit findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction across compliance initiatives.
