Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Federal Financial Management Analyst to support management of federal financial and transformation initiatives, ensuring scope, schedule, and deliverables are executed effectively. You will contribute to PMO activities, including POAMs and RAID logs, to track risks and dependencies.

This role requires a bachelor's degree, 4+ years of experience in federal financial management, cost allocation, and PMO support.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD PUBLIC TRUST.
  • Must be US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to nature of client engagement.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Four (4+) plus years of experience supporting federal financial management and accounting, Working Capital Funds (WCF), shared services, or billing execution.
  • Experience with cost allocation methodologies, including activity-based costing and rate development.
  • Experience supporting PMO activities, including project tracking, documentation, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with interagency agreements and financial processes supporting reimbursable work.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to client-facing deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace productivity suite Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to work in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office three (3) or more days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of federal financial and transformation initiatives, ensuring project scope, schedule, and deliverables are executed effectively.
  • Contribute to PMO activities, including development and maintenance of Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) and RAID logs to track risks and dependencies
  • Coordinate with client stakeholders and internal teams to support governance processes, including preparation of status reports, executive briefings, and meeting materials.
  • Support federal financial activities, including tracking budgets, forecasts, and burn rates, and assisting in development of financial status reports and dashboards.
  • Assist in development and implementation of cost allocation methodologies, including activity-based costing models and service catalog structures to support transparent and equitable cost recovery.
  • Support billing and financial management processes, including validating financial data, reconciling charges, financial impact analysis, and ensuring alignment with interagency agreements and funding availability.
  • Assist in development of financial policies, procedures, and documentation to support consistent execution of Working Capital Fund operations and billing practices.
  • Contribute to audit readiness activities, including documentation support, control tracking, and compliance with federal financial management standards (GAAP, FASAB, FAR).
  • Support stakeholder engagement and change management activities, including preparation of communications, training materials, and user guidance to support adoption of updated financial processes.
  • Maintain project documentation, including work plans, meeting notes, action items, and status reports.
  • Identify risks and issues, elevate as appropriate, and support development of mitigation strategies.

What Would Be Nice To Have:


  • Preference will be given to candidate currently residing within 50 miles of a Guidehouse Office listed in posting.

  • Experience supporting federal revolving funds or other federal Working Capital Fund environments.

  • Familiarity with federal financial systems (e.g., Delphi) and financial reporting processes.

  • Experience supporting audit readiness, internal controls, or compliance activities aligned with GAAP, FASAB, or OMB A-123.

  • Experience developing financial reports, dashboards, or executive briefings.

  • Exposure to contract financial management or reimbursable agreement tracking.

  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CGFM, or progress toward certification.


The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
