Job summary

Makpar seeks a Senior Information Systems Manager to lead federal cybersecurity audits and assessments across complex government environments. This role focuses on security controls, configuration changes, vulnerability management, and practical reviews, coordinating across government stakeholders and partner agencies.

The ideal candidate will manage personnel, supervise technical reviews, and produce security deliverables including memos, Nessus findings, and POA&Ms.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with federal government cybersecurity audits and assessments.
• Experience implementing security controls, configuration changes, and vulnerability management.
• IT/cybersecurity project and personnel management experience.
• One of the listed certifications (e.g., CASP+ CE, CISSP, CISA, GCED, GCIS, CCSP, CISM, HCISPP, or PenTest+) or a two-year substitute program.

Responsibilities

• Lead or oversee cybersecurity audits and assessments for federal, state, and local partners.
• Manage assessment personnel and coordinate technical review execution.
• Support system configuration checks and reviews of security artifacts.
• Oversee findings development, remediation guidance, and vulnerability management.
• Prepare deliverables such as scope memos, Nessus results, CAP/POA&M materials, and AARs.
• Coordinate issue resolution across Government stakeholders and contractor teams.
