The role plans and executes security control assessments, testing, and compliance evaluations, aligned to FISMA, NIST, and agency policies. Qualifications

• Active TS clearance and ability to maintain eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity related field.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity assessment or auditing experience (or 5+ with Master's).
• FISMA, NIST SP 800-53 knowledge and RMF concepts; artifacts such as SSP/SAP/SAR/POA&M.
• Hands-on capability to review configurations across Windows/Linux, IAM, networks.
• Strong written and verbal communication for executives and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute security control assessments aligned to federal requirements.
• Conduct threat and vulnerability testing, evidence collection, and reporting.
• Support RMF activities across system lifecycle and authorization efforts.
• Validate SSPs, SAP/SAR, and continuous monitoring strategies with evidence.
• Perform cloud security assessments across CSP platforms and FedRAMP expectations.
• Draft findings, risk ratings, and actionable remediation recommendations.
