Halvik Corp in Washington, DC seeks a cybersecurity professional to support federal customers with information assurance and security requirements. The role involves hands-on risk analysis, vulnerability assessment, and coordinating with infrastructure and engineering teams to keep systems secure and compliant.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, strong knowledge of NIST/FISMA controls, and the ability to produce compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on experience conducting comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Extensive knowledge of Federal Cybersecurity regulations, policies and guidelines (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
• Experience developing and maintaining information assurance documentation.
• Support security engineering activities and ensure security requirements are incorporated into system design.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhancement capabilities and SOPs to cybersecurity assessment operations for execution and implementation.
• Analyze vulnerabilities and coordinate with program teams on remediation.
• Review program documentation (requirements, architecture, design, test plans, security plans).
• Develop and document security evaluation test plans and procedures.
• Publish information security policies and guidance and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Brief leadership on status of actions and results of activities as needed.
• Conduct hands-on security testing, analyze results, document risk and countermeasures.
• Coordinate with other program teams conducting security testing.
• Assess risk based on threats and vulnerabilities identified in testing.
• Identify mitigations for threats and vulnerabilities.
• Oversee design, development and implementation of security-related support systems.
