Responsibilities

• This position is located in the Correctional Systems Department at a Federal Bureau of Prisons facility.
• Duties include institution mail, postal regulations, receiving and discharge of inmates, inmate bus movement, processing of writs, handling of legal documents including interpretation of judgments for filing detainers, IAD, locator center procedures, releases, and record certification.
• Knowledge in sentence computation, sentencing laws, court processes, and compliance with court directives to address inmate inquiries.
• All staff share responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
