Job summary

GSA is seeking a Contract Specialist to procure a broad range of design, construction, services, and/or supplies. You will select acquisition methods and contract vehicles to ensure timely project completion and competitive outcomes.

You will review requests, prepare solicitations, administer contracts, negotiate changes, and resolve issues with stakeholders. A strong understanding of FAR and contract administration is essential.

Qualifications

• Resume must clearly demonstrate specialized experience equivalent to GS-11.
• Include name, address, telephone number and email on the resume.
• Education, certifications or licensures required by the job.
• Specialized experience includes pre-award, award and post-award actions in contracting.

Responsibilities

• Review requests for procurements, revise work statements, and determine procurement method.
• Prepare solicitation documents and review proposals; develop special clauses.
• Administer awarded contracts and interpret contractual obligations with stakeholders.
• Execute modifications, negotiate cost changes, and determine settlement costs.
• Close out contracts and issue termination notices when required.
