Job summary

Softthink Solutions is recruiting a Contract Specialist to deliver federal acquisition and contracting support throughout the lifecycle. The role covers planning, market research, documentation, negotiations, and post-award administration for commercial and non-commercial buys.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in government contracting, IDIQ experience, and strong knowledge of FAR/DoD policies. A DAWIA/FAC-C equivalent certification is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position in New York.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of government contracting experience.
• Experience with IDIQ contracts, including task orders and delivery orders.
• Expert knowledge of federal contracting laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Experience using electronic commerce platforms and automated government acquisition systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple acquisition activities while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the full federal acquisition lifecycle for commercial and non-commercial supplies and services.
• Conduct market research and assist in developing acquisition strategies and procurement plans.
• Prepare and maintain RFQs, RFPs, and other solicitation documents.
• Perform price analysis and develop Independent Government Estimates (IGEs).
• Assist with source selection, evaluations, and negotiations.
• Prepare contract award documentation and support post-award actions.
• Provide contract administration support and FPDS-NG reporting.
