Job summary

Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship with our federal team supporting the Fort Myer military base in Arlington, VA. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives.

Hours and timeframes are flexible based on class schedules, but overall duration will likely be between 3-5 months. On-site team primarily works between 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a similar field
• 3.0 GPA or higher
• U.S. citizenship due to export controlled government data handling
• Must be able to work on-site at least 20 hours per week; full-time (40 hours per week) is available

Responsibilities

• Supports the Project Managers, Engineers, and field teams with a variety of tasks.
• Assists in preparing project files and reports, customer presentations, and other customer communication documents as needed.
• Assists in development of customer baselines, benchmarks, and project scheduling reporting as needed.
• Support team in the preparation of mechanical and controls projects, development, and assist in rollout and support of new business opportunities.
• Contributes to asset/mechanic systems data collection, process or financial task calculations, and other operational performance engineering modeling during both design and execution management phases
• Compiles project documentation, such as certificate of completion, customer training forms, training certificates and punch lists
• Other duties as assigned
