Job summary

ACC - Oregon Chapter is seeking a Compliance Counsel to support legal, financial, operational and regulatory compliance for the Federal loan and energy redevelopment project. This role will gather, compile, review, and track compliance obligations and related reporting, interfacing with federal government entities as needed.

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Compliance Counsel will collaborate with Project Governance & Oversight, HR, Finance, and Public/Private Funding teams to ensure

Qualifications

• J.D. required from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, or ability to obtain PA admission/registration.
• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in regulatory compliance, government funding, construction, energy, infrastructure, or related area.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret complex agreements and requirements, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret loan documents, regulations, and guidance to identify compliance obligations and deadlines.
• Maintain a tracker for requirements, reporting deadlines, certifications, and other deliverables.
• Develop procedures and internal controls for project and funding compliance.
• Track changes in laws and funding requirements and communicate potential impacts.
• Escalate compliance concerns, documentation gaps, and missed deadlines.
