The United States Attorneys' Offices in Charleston, WV is seeking two Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) for the Civil Division. Successful candidates will litigate in federal bankruptcy courts and handle civil matters, including personal injury and employment discrimination cases.

This role requires a J.D. degree and active bar membership. The salary range is between $65,563 and $171,487, commensurate with experience. The position offers a chance to serve justice while gaining invaluable litigation experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a J.D. degree (or equivalent) and be an active member of the bar.
• United States citizenship is required.
• Experience in civil litigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Litigate in federal bankruptcy courts for federal creditor agencies.
• Handle a wide variety of civil matters including affirmative civil enforcement.
• Conduct legal research, discovery, and trials.
