Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission is required.
• Post–J.D. experience requirements vary by GS level: GS-13 (1.5+ years), GS-14 (2.5+), GS-15 (4+).

Responsibilities

• Oversee bankruptcy cases in the Region and field office.
• Litigate enforcement matters and supervise private trustees.
• Handle appellate matters and report national issues to support policy.
• Collaborate with program staff and federal/state partners on bankruptcy matters.
• Engage with stakeholders in the bankruptcy system, including courts and bar.
• Travel as needed for assignments and training.
