RMA Associates is seeking an Audit Associate in Arlington, VA to support audits of federal government agencies and related entities. You will work with an Audit Senior to ensure regulatory compliance, accuracy in financial reporting, and effective internal controls across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business-related field.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
• Internship or relevant work experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
• Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit segments under supervision.
• Assist in audits of federal government agencies, departments, or organizations.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and accurate financial reporting.
• Test design and effectiveness of controls over compliance with system requirements and laws.
• Prepare audit workpapers and documentation.
• Communicate audit findings to Audit Senior and participate in client meetings.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and industry trends.
