Job summary

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and admission to a U.S. bar.
• Minimum 2 years of post-J.D. experience.
• Strong academics, litigation experience, and legal writing skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Represent the U.S. Government as an Associate U.S. Attorney in federal criminal cases and trials.
• Handle a broad spectrum of criminal cases including violent crimes, firearms, drugs, trafficking, public corruption, and white‑collar crime.
• Assist with civil matters in the Rockford district as needed.
• Take on increasingly complex assignments as training progresses.
