Job summary

NuAxis Innovations is seeking a Mid-Level Appian Developer for a full-time position to design, build, test, and maintain Appian workflows, interfaces, and integrations for an enterprise case management platform serving multiple federal programs.

Under the Senior Appian Developer, you will deliver sprint commitments, fix production defects, and implement regulatory enhancements while keeping the platform highly available during peak filing seasons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years Appian development.
• Experience integrating Appian with REST APIs, web services, and Kafka.
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle or similar relational databases.
• JavaScript and web technologies experience.
• Agile/Scrum delivery using JIRA and Git-based source control (GitLab preferred).
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop Appian process models, SAIL interfaces, records, and data types for end-to-end case management.
• Build workflows for correspondence, documents, user access, tasks, and case status automation.
• Implement regulatory-driven changes and update reference data and validation logic.
• Support nightly automation jobs updating case statuses and auto-processing applications.
• Apply Appian best practices for reusability, performance, and low technical debt.
• Develop Appian integrations with Kafka, REST APIs, Drupal portal, and storage services.
• Write and optimize SQL queries against Oracle on AWS RDS.
• Support data flows to Tableau and enterprise data platforms.
• Contribute to ICD updates for integration points.
